Last night on Dancing With The Stars, I was a little disappointed in the quality of the performances. Considering that it was the Semi-Finals and Len gave a big speech at the beginning of the show about how the dancers had to step it up, I’m not convinced most of them did. Now it may be that I had my expectations set too high. With the exception of one or two performances I thought that the performances from last night may not even have been as good as some of the previous weeks. The judges scores were still pretty good. Although there were no perfect scores:

Kristi & Mark: 57
Cristian & Cheryl: 56
Jason & Edyta: 55
Marissa & Tony: 52

I was definitely most impressed with Cristian & Cheryl last night. Those two were on fire. I actually loved both of their performances. I will be devastated if they go home tonight. Despite the fact that Kristi & Mark had the best overall scores of the night, something just seemed off with their performances last night. I couldn’t really put me finger on it but, I didn’t like their performances as much as I did some of their earlier ones. Jason & Edyta had a great first performance, the foxtrot, but their Samba didn’t impress me. Marissa & Tony had the lowest scores in both rounds. Their performances in particular were not spectacular. I didn’t get the feeling they really stepped it up for the Semi-Finals. These are the same quality performances they were doing two weeks ago.

Marissa & Tony are the couple to be sent home tonight. If they stay it is only due to their popularity not the quality of their performances. All three of the other couples have had performances week after week. So I would hate to see one of the other couples leave. If it isn’t Marissa & Tony, it could be any one of the other three couples. I’m actually a little nervous about who might be going home on tonights show.
