Looks like someone forgot to write a “no nudity” clause into her contract! Sex and the City’s Kristin Davis found herself in a nervous situation during filming when she was told to drop the robe and get naked in front of the camera:
Davis, 43, recalled the moment when the film’s writer and director Michael Patrick King told her to strip.
She said: “He tried to get me to be naked in the shower scene. I feel like I can’t do that stuff. I feel really panicky about that stuff.”
And she added that when she agreed to shoot a cut-down version of the scene, she still found the experience “extremely stressful”, even though it did not involve total nudity.
Out of that entire cast of ladies only Davis does anything for me, but I doubt even a nude scene from her would push me to go see this one. But if a semi-nude shower scene of Kristin Davis does get you worked up then maybe you should hold back on your excitement. A “Hollywood insider” told the UK’s Mail that her shower scene isn’t all that:
“She pulled it off very well but you could tell she wasn’t comfortable with the shower scene. It is just very unexciting.”
So a boring nude scene with Davis, but what about the other ladies, some of which were more willing to go on-camera with less?
It is understood that Cattrall and Parker also refused to do nude scenes for the film. Only Nixon bares all in the movie.
The horror. The horror. Nixon naked? Who is going to see this movie that wants to see Nixon in the nude? Shouldn’t they be pushing for “Mr. Big” Noth to get naked or am I completely missing the mark with my idea that Sex and the City is targeted for women?
