The American Idol results show tonight began with a performance by former American Idol winner Fantasia. She had red hair and put on quite an interesting performance. While watching her performance, Simon looked totally confused. I know last night I was kind of relieved that they didn’t spend much time on the hometown visits. I actually enjoyed watching the visits tonight. All three of the contestants ended up in tears before their visit was over.
At the end of the show, it was no surprise when Ryan finally announced the names of the two idols competing in next week’s American Idol Finale were David Archuleta and David Cook. I’m a little annoyed that Syesha got sent home. Last night, I said it seemed like the judges were trying to influence the fans against Syesha. She did a much better job than David Archuleta. Fortunately for Syesha, I think she has some great things ahead of her.
Say goodbye to Syesha Mercado, America.
Next week the 2008 American Idol will be crowned. Be sure to come back to get our view and discuss the results.

I’ve never seen Simon so stunned as when beholding Fantasia looking like one of The Incredibles. She tore UP whatever it was she was singing. Confetti! Ryan barely missed a big ole Fantasia smooch! He was backing up real fast!

I’m glad I missed it. I guess I won’t be tuning in at all next week, since I don’t like either one of the finalist. They’re both BOOORRING. Archuletta needs to grow up (mature his nasal voice) and Cook needs to speed up. Ninety percent of what he sings . . . even if it was originally done as a fast song . . . is slow.

Finally a finale that I predicted came true. Syesha has been bottom 3 for countless of weeks so it’s no surprise at all her fanbase is mostly casual voters. She’ll be good on broadway. I think David is ging to win lol

It was decided that the final would be between the two Davids at the very start of the show. The judges worked it well. Jason was my guy and I think the final would have been great and different and very exciting if he was included. I watched all his interviews since he left the show and he seems happy so that is good. I am sure he will make a great CD. I thought all the singers were good this year and wish them all the best. But I won’t be watching next year. The show is not what I thought American Idol was about: finding raw talent in America. Jason and Brooke had that.

I thought Fantasia was amazing…really enjoyed her performance. I too laughed when they showed Simons stunned look. As far as the 2 David’s…I’m glad to see these 2 in the finals. They are both different types of singers…the rocker and the ballader. People like both types…I’m personally not a rocker fan, so am of course rooting for the Arch. But will be happy for which ever ends up the winner…they both deserve to be there.
As far as Seyesha deserving to be there more than Archuleta…that is bunk!!! When you look at past performances….at least Archuleta had some memorable performances… Seyesha sang nice, but none were memorable for me. She will be fine, and will end up an actress which I am guessing this is her dream more than music is.
