$56.5 million doesn’t sound too bad for a movie’s premiere except when its predecessor made a huge chunk of change and another movie has been stomping around making that much in its second weekend out. Prince Caspian, which picks up in the Chronicles of Narnia series, came in a little lower than anticipated but still managed to hold off the juggernaut that is Iron Man.
What Happens In Vegas managed to drop only about 30% in earnings this weekend while the bomb Speed Racer fell almost twice that with a 59% reduction in its second weekend. Did any of these movies get you out to the theater this weekend?
