Tonight in a three round match David vs. David! Tonight’s American Idol Finale should be interesting. I still think Syesha should have made it but, what are you going to do. Its going to be David Archuleta’s popularity, cuteness, and voice against David Cook’s originality, stage presence, and attitude. Personally, I’m rooting for David Cook. I think that he is the way better performer and i know that based on my musical tastes, he is the idol I am more likely to download. However, I think Daivd Archuleta is going to win. The audience for American Idol is less likely to listen to alternative rock vibe that Cook gives off than the melodious, adult contemporary stylings of David Archuleta. Only one way to find out though. You need to watch tonight and then vote early and often for your favorite.

David Gaspuleta is horrendous. He will be a HUGE bust if he wins this thing. David Cook is absolutely fantastic… Hell, he turned a Mariah Carey song into a great alt-rock tune!!

I disagree with Jay. David Arch will definitely win. Cook is a poseur, with no originality about him. All he does is track down obscure versions of different songs and claims them as his own. In the final analysis, what difference will it really make WHO wins. Each will get a recording contract and the chance to be a star. Neither Jay nor I will have any voice in who wins on the sales charts. that will depend on how well received each’s CD is.

If I’m being honest, Archeletta won the night and the crown. He sang better, without question. I also agree that Cook is a “poser”. He would be a lead good singer on a cover band doing “Nickelback” songs.

David Cook would not have been the guy who we know or come to love without doin sth as radical as rockin a song that he’s never done! ….for that alone he should win… but he’s proven to be the MOST consistent, most BOLd contestant ever… i hope ppl get it right and he WINS… he truely deserves it.. by all counts!!!

The good news is BOTH Davids are indeed winners, both for different reasons, but isnt that what this is all about. Now the bad news: The final show was AWFUL, can’t imagine who was responsible for it. It clearly did NOT represent its audience. If you are going to dig up a bunch of old out of touch previous stars and try to revive thier careers, I will simply watch the news at 10:00.
