The CW has released its first video introducing the new cast and their characters for the remake / spin-off of 90210 with its new generation of debauchery. From the looks of things no one will be disappointed in that regard. It reminds me a lot of The OC mixed with Gossip Girl, but I guess those were reminiscent of the original 90210 anyways.

The other week I told you about Jennie Garth coming back to reclaim her character Kelly who will now be the high school’s guidance counselor. Initially I heard Garth would be there as a series regular, but for now she’s only agreed to be a recurring character as she wants to wait and see just how bad/good it turns out to be.

There are a few more former cast members returning as well. Tori Spelling has asked to be written in to the series, but so far has only been given a bit in the pilot. Ian Ziering is desperate for work and is extremely anxious to get on the series as well, though nothing is definite for his role. There are some more rumors for the rest of the group, but it’s all very speculative sounding at this stage.
