Kimberly Caldwell might have only made it to the semi-finals in season 2 of American Idol, but apparently that was enough to catch the attention of this year’s Idol winner, David Cook. Cook appeared on Live with Regis & Kelly this Tuesday where he revealed he had meet up with Caldwell through the show and was so far enjoying things:
Asked if he had a good time, Cook, 25, said, “I did. We’ll probably hang out again. So we’ll see.”
Of Caldwell, 26, Cook told on Monday, “she seems like a really great girl,” adding that he hopes their friendship “will be a little bit of a long, drawn out process.”
I’m sure this won’t be the last we’ll hear of budding romances in Cook’s future and considering it sounds like he and Caldwell have been on just one date it’s probably a little early to know what’s really going on. As far as picking from past Idol contestants, it looks like Cook could have done a lot worse. Not too shabby.

aaa come on.. from seein her on idol tonight she’s really annoyin kinda reminds me of that girl that hosts “on demand” i think it is? anyways… maybe kim’s better off camera but im certain her voice would still not be any pleasant…
oh well as long as david is happy… guess i’ll be too..

This has made me lose some respect for David. He obviously is more concerned about his love life than his career since he couldn’t wait til the confetti stopped falling at the Kodak before he hooked up. JMO

ouch Deb… the poor soul was workin since aug when he auditioned hasnt slept much in the weeks performin nor goin out… give him lil slack.. i mean i dun like her but then i mightn’t like anyone who can snatch him LOL … but if it’s gonna make him cheery so let it be.. i just want him to be successful

I’d guess this will be great for her career, he won’t get much out of it, and then they’ll move on. Cook should have no problem being successful at this point, he’ll do great.

yea i agree Matt… and Cook’s already broken record for most singles in hot downloads with 17 songs more than any other artist [last record was beatles in 1964 with 14]
and his record with RCA isnt even started yet lol… i cant wait

yea he’s ridiculously brilliant.. and i pray he’ll break a lot more records and inducably be the best idol ever
