Alright moms and dads, did think you were safe until High School Musical 3 comes out this fall? Think again. This month Disney Channel will premiere its latest made for TV movie Camp Rock. From the folks who brought you High School Musical, High School Musical 2, and Jump-In comes the latest pre-teen movie craze for the summer of 2008. Camp Rock tells the story of Mitchie Lopez. This young girl dreams of spending the summer at a prestigious camp for aspiring musicians. Unfortunately (of course), her family can’t afford to send her. Mitchie is instead forced to take a job working in the camp kitchen. While working in the kitchen she is overheard singing by teen pop star and camp guest Shane Gray (played by Joe Jonas of the Jonas Brothers). Hilarity and spontaneous musical numbers ensue as Shane spends the summer trying to find the girl with the beautiful voice.

Camp Rock is filled with awesome tunes that your pre-teens will want to listen to over and over and over again until your ears bleed. While Mitchie Lopez is played by Demi Lovato, the real stars of the movie will be the Jonas Brothers. You still have a couple of weeks left to prepare. Camp Rock premieres June 20, 2008 on the Disney Channel.
