So You Think You Can Dance Season 4

Tonight the final So You Think You Can Dance auditions aired. The two day audition was taped in Milwaukee, WI. It was funny to see the snow storm going on outside the theater where the auditions were taking place while we’re already starting to deal with summer weather. I didn’t think there were too many really interesting auditions tonight. There was the minister who was a great choreographer but who Nigel felt treated his partner like a piece of meat. Nigel made the comment that unfortunately the name of the show wasn’t So You Think You Can Choreograph. When you think about it, that might not be such a bad show. Maybe they should have choreographers submit dance routines just like American Idol does with its song writers competition each season. The only other audition which really made an impression on me was the tap dancer who ended the auditions. She did an awesome job and stood out because she did something that no one else did. It earned her a ticket to Vegas as well.

Tomorrow night the Vegas Call-Backs will air. The entire Las Vegas round of the competition will be completed during tomorrow night’s episode. By 10PM tomorrow night we will know who the Season 4 SYTYCD Top 20 are. They didn’t waste any time this year. I was really glad they didn’t drag out the auditions and the call-backs the way American Idol does. I’m ready to get on with the competition.
