Tonight on the After the Final Rose special, we see a jilted Jason and a happy Jesse and DeAnna. Buckle up, because here we go!

Jason is out with Chris and he really looks like he doesn’t want to be there (I don’t blame him). We are shown a montage of his time on the show and his face tells us he’d rather be anywhere else. “It hurts,” he tells us after Chris asks him how it feels to watch the montage. Jason was absolutely in love with her and she is everything he’s ever looked for and then some. It felt so right and he doesn’t know what happened. He felt like it was just the two of them in the Bahamas on their honeymoon or a vacation. Their last date was wonderful and he was “so sure it was me.” When he got sent home, he was a little shocked. He wondered “what happened in her eyes?” It was especially hard because he saw her with Ty and she was so good with him. He definitely still has feelings for her.

We come back from the break and out comes DeAnna. They’re both really nervous. She feels bad for hurting him and apologizes. He asks, “When did you know?” She said she realized in the morning that she was in love with Jesse and had never been fully in love with Jason. Her mind changed throughout the show as to what she was looking for and she said she guessed she didn’t know herself as well as she thought. With Jason, she knew her life was planned out and while she liked that person she was with him, she didn’t really know that person. “How’d you let me get down on one knee?” Jason asks. She says she got caught up in the moment and then thought oh crap, this is what Brad did to me. She has a ton of compassion for Brad now, by the way, because she knows what it’s like to do to someone what she had done unto her. Jason says after watching the show, he wishes she would have looked at him with the same type of look that she gave to Jesse or even Graham and that’s really sad and I love him and want him to be happy! Fortunately, he learned he can love again and he’s open to it. He says the 3rd proposal will be the charm.

Next, we have Matt and Shayne out to talk to us after their own happy ending on last season’s Bachelor. They show us the montage of their time on the show and Chris asks Matt if he empathizes with DeAnna for ending up falling for the different type than usual. He does empathize. Apparently, he’s also a horrible driver. They talk about how they are in love and happy, then will probably do some traveling (London for Matt’s birthday) and they’re still cute and I like them.

DeAnna comes back out alone and they talk about how she didn’t expect to fall in love with Jesse. She judged his outward appearance at first but was glad that when she talked to him she found out he was one of the best men she’s ever met. She knew he was the one because she realized he was the only man she felt she couldn’t ever live without. She doesn’t have to worry about Jesse being someone other than what he is and he’s super romantic.

Out comes Jesse to join his woman and they are really cute at first (and then the constant making out gets old, but I’m happy for them). He says, “She makes me tingle on the inside out.” They show us a montage of Jesse and DeAnna and afterwards, Jesse tells us he was so nervous that day he had no clue what he was going to say when he proposed. Chris asks, “When did you know, Jesse?” When they went to the theater, he says his crush started growing at a rapid pace and the hometown date sealed it for him. This is the first relationship he’s ever waited forever to give a kiss and realized that was a good idea because it allowed them to see if they could be friends knowing that the physical stuff would be easier to manage than the friendship.

We find out that the family just heard the news and DeAnna’s dad was shocked, but knew it was Jesse from when she brought him to Georgia. Their “BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!” is that they are getting married on May 9, 2009 in the Bahamas. Wow, they move fast! As a present, ABC gives them their honeymoon in Santorini, Greece, because of DeAnna’s heritage. They are very thankful and happy and in love and it’s all cute.
