Get ready Spider-Man fans. Peter Parker is back along with his trusty director, Sam Raimi, for a guarantee of at least two more Spidey films. Sony released details that Tobey Maguire and Raimi had signed on for back to back sequels. That’s right, they’ll be filming the two movies all at once.
No details on whether Kirsten Dunst will be back, but Sony says they’ll be writing MJ into the story and don’t plan to recast. So yeah, unfortunately, she’ll be back.
Don’t forget that Raimi and his brother won’t be writing this installment after their last attempt was utter crap. Instead “Zodiac” scribe James Vanderbilt will be taking over those duties.
There are also rumors that the next villain will be The Lizard. We’ve seen his pre-lizard character in the past two films as Peter’s one-armed professor played by Dylan Baker.
Are you ready for more Spider-Man?
