This week Activision released its sequel to its Dancing With The Stars video game: Dancing With The Stars, We Dance. The new version was released on 10/23/08 and is only available for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS.
Dancing with the Stars: We Dance features all-new stars such as Mel B, Apolo Anton Ohno, Joey Fatone and Jennie Garth. Players will be able to cha-cha with new professional dancers including Derek Hough, and his sister, two-time “Dancing with the Stars” champion, Julianne Hough. You can play as any of the these great couples:
- Cameron Mathison & Edyta Sliwinska (5th Place in Season 5)
- Helio Castroneves & Julianne Hough (1st Place in Season 5)
- Drew Lachey & Cheryl Burke (1st Place in Season 2)
- Mel B & Maksim Chmerkovskiy (2nd Place in Season 5)
- Jennie Garth & Derek Hough (4th Place in Season 5)
- Apolo Anton Ohno & Julianne Hough (1st Place in Season 4)
- Joey Fatone & Kym Johnson (2nd Place in Season 4)
- Jane Seymour & Tony Dovolani (6th Place in Season 5)
- Sabrina Bryan & Louis Van Amstel (7th Place in Season 5)
- Marie Osmond & Jonathan Roberts (3rd Place in Season 5)
- Mark Cuban & Kym Johnson (8th Place in Season 5)

You can perform alone or with your friends in Head-to-Head, tournament, and Duet modes. All of your favorite dances which the stars regularly perform on TV are available: the Mambo, Jive, Samba, Cha-cha-cha, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Foxtrot, Paso Doble, Rumba, and Freestyle. The Nintendo DS version also includes the new dances added in Season 7: the Hustle, Jitterbug, West Coast Swing, and the Salsa. My favorite part is having Len, Bruno, and Carrie Ann judge give you your scores after the performance. My only complaint is that I would have liked to be introduced by Tom Bergeron and interviewed by Samantha Harris afterwards. This is a great game to play with the whole family and is a must for any DWTS fan on your Christmas list.
